Generally anything built since the 1950's uses framing/drywall. There may be some soundproofing methods, but I am not aware of any.

DO any of the newer (built since 1986) buildings downtown have masonry walls between apartments? I have 100%drywall except for support columns and I am SO tired of listening to my neighbors. Is cheesy drywall a universal these days?
Is it necessary to go for 50 year old housing to get bricks and plaster? I have no problem with drywall interior walls but really, it is more than annoying to listen to neighbor's phone ringing, television playing, or assorted bathroom noises.
