At about 10:30 p.m., police arrested a 15-year-old Stevens Avenue boy, a 16-year-old Bramhall Avenue boy and a 14-year-old Newark boy, at Virginia Avenue near Martin Luther King Drive. They were charged with robbery and weapons offenses, reports said.
Officers responding to the robbery at Virginia Avenue and Kennedy Boulevard found the 46-year-old delivery man being treated by emergency medical technicians.
The Woodside, Queens, man told police three boys approached him from behind and pistol-whipped him, and that when he turned he saw one of the boys pointing a gun at him and another boy grabbed his delivery bag - with $24 worth of food - before all three ran away heading east on Virginia Avenue, reports said.
Police broadcasted a description of the robbers and CCTV operators quickly spotted them on King Drive reports said. Numerous police units responded and after a short chase the three boys were arrested and a gun recovered, reports said.
