The Attic Ensemble, Theater for a New Jersey City, presents our 11th annual Summer Reading Series. The series runs Tuesday evenings in July and consists of readings of new works...come out and support theater in your own neighborhood! This year?s schedule is as follows: July 7: Tropical Heat by Rich Orloff, directed by Frank Malvasi Hilarity reigns as a conflicted reverend, along with every other male on their tropical island, falls under the spell of an alluring temptress. July 14: TO BE ANNOUNCED July 21: Nighthawks by Evan Guilford-Blake, directed by Matteo Masiello The four denizens of Edward Hopper's famous diner come to life over the course of two nights in two eras. July 28: Smoke Damage by Dan Gordon directed by Ginger Kipps A wedding planner and her patient husband are faced with the prospect of taking in her eccentric mother, who has burned her own house down. All performances are at 7:30 pm. Performances are held at the Attic Ensemble Theater located in the historic Barrow Mansion, 83 Wayne Street, Jersey City. Admission to the readings is free, with a suggested donation of $5. Refreshments will be available for purchase.
