A neighbor shooed away two armed men who attempted to rob a 31-year-old woman as she entered the front door to her building Thursday night, police reports said.
The woman told police she noticed that she was being followed by two men as she approached her Neptune Avenue building at about 9:30 p.m., reports said. One of the men tapped her on the back as she tried to unlock the building's door.
As the victim turned around and asked, "What are you doing?" both men pulled out handguns, reports said. The woman then knocked on the window of a first-floor apartment and the resident opened the front door. The armed men tried to enter, but they fled when the first-floor resident told them she had called the police, cops said.
