Off topic - like that stops anyone...

Not sure how this relates to the news article but according to that bedbug site there is only one case of bedbugs downtown and the poster back in February seems to think that that outbreak is somehow the fault of a Ward E Candidate... Not sure I would believe everything on that site!

Two bullies taunted and struck a 44-year-old Bayonne woman near Journal Square before fleeing with $2,500 worth of cash and jewelry Friday night, Jersey City police reports said.

The victim said she was walking on Tuers Avenue near Vroom Street at 5:15 p.m. Friday when two men walked up to her asking for a light, reports said.

The victim gave them a book of matches, but they then began to curse at her, reports said.

She began to walk away when one of the men grabbed her leather purse that contained $2,000 cash and the other man ripped gold rings worth $500 from her fingers, reports said.

One of the men then struck her in the face, knocking her glasses off, reports said.
