"two witnesses to the crime refused to cooperate with police conducting the investigation"
Thats pretty messed up that they wouldnt cooperate. They should be lock up for that since they are witnesses & they are interfering with the investigation.
Id like to see what this $7,250.00 chain looks like.

Shotgun used in street heist

Wednesday, April 15, 2009

A Jersey City man was robbed of a $7,000 gold chain by a shotgun toting thief Monday night and two witnesses to the crime refused to cooperate with police conducting the investigation, officials said.

At 9:37 p.m. the 25-year-old Bergen Avenue man was at Bergen Avenue and Wegman Parkway when a masked man approached and pulled a shotgun out of his right sleeve, officials said.

"Give up the chain," the man ordered, reports said. After grabbing the chain, valued at $7,250, he patted down the victim's pockets saying, "Where the cash at," reports said.

But the victim said he had had nothing else and the robber ran away, reports said.
