i'd say that the location is closer to the marion section if anything. however, GP already amended the original post to say only 'west side' and not jsq anymore

This is a little too far west to be considered Journal Square or Little India. It is also a different ward. The Square is Ward C and the incident is in Ward B

Woman robbed at gunpoint: cops
Monday, April 06, 2009 A 39-year-old Jersey City woman was robbed of her gold chain at gunpoint Friday night, police reports said. Police were called to West Side Avenue near Pavonia Avenue at 6:51 p.m. where the Beacon Avenue resident said a man pointed a small handgun at her and ripped a gold chain and medallion worth $350 from her neck before fleeing, reports said. Reports said the victim knew the suspect's name and could identify him. CHARLES HACK
