i wonder if it's a good thing that these cops are getting featured so much. yeah, you get the positive publicity and pats on the back from your friends and relatives, but i imagine that those cops who arent in the limelight would start getting jealous at some point.. not to mention other would-be criminals or associates of those arrested might start eying retaliation on these guys

Sharp-eyed cops make big heroin, $$$ bust
Wednesday, February 04, 2009 By MICHAELANGELO CONTE JOURNAL STAFF WRITER The Jersey City cop featured in The Jersey Journal Monday for making five arrests last week and two other hero cops have made another sensational bust that resulted in seizure of more than 800 bags of suspected heroin and $11,000. Sgt. Dino Nerney and Police Officers Joe Seal and Edmond Redmond arrested Ronald Vincent Noel Jr., 36, of Sheffield Street in Jersey City, and Tywain T. Jones, 36, of Newark, on numerous drug offenses Monday, reports said. On Christmas Eve, Seals and Redmond rescued an Ocean Avenue woman from a sexual assault in her home and captured the suspected attacker. Last week Nerney helped break up an armed robbery of a restaurant delivery man - which led to four arrests - and also arrested a suspected burglar and recovered $5,000 in stolen property. Nerney, Seals and Redmond were doing surveillance in the area of Noel's home on Monday evening and saw him standing on a corner when Jones pulled up and Noel jumped in his car, reports said. Noel took a package from Jones and ran home before returning with a different package, reports said, adding that police then closed in on them. The cops searched Noel's home and found 741 bags of suspected heroin in the package Jones gave him, and about 100 more packets were found in the home, police said. Cops also found $5,000 in Noel's sweatshirt pocket and more than $5,000 more in Jones' car, reports said.
