A Jersey City man was robbed Monday by a group of eight men wearing ski masks who made off with a $450 cell phone and a $25 sweater, according to a police report.
The 23-year-old victim was walking on Van Winkle Avenue near Kennedy Boulevard just after 8:30 p.m. when a group of about eight men wearing dark clothing and ski masks came up to him and one of them said, "Run your pockets and give me your sweater."
One of the men also had a black object that could have been a weapon, according to the report.
The victim handed over a Sprint cell phone and his sweater, and the men fled, the report said.
