Responding to reports of shots fired and a disorderly group Saturday night, police found a 35-year-old Jersey City man bleeding from his leg and hip, according to reports.
Jersey City cops found the Bayview Avenue resident lying face down and bleeding from his leg at the corner of Van Horne Street and Communipaw Avenue at around 10:30 p.m., reports said.
The man told cops that he saw someone poke his head out of the sunroof of a passing car and fire several shots at him, reports said.
The victim was treated for non-life threatening injuries at Jersey City Medical Center, where it was found that he had a bullet lodged in his left thigh and a second one in his right hip, reports said.
Police found four .40-caliber shell casings at the scene, reports said.
