The police escorted one of the two women (the woman who wears or carries the camel colored coat) into the ambulance. She was perfectly able to walk her self. She looked a bit confused and curious as to what was going on. I asked two of the officers what actually happened. One replied but didn't give too many details, but said they were responding to a call, and they were bringing her in to make sure she was ok. The invited the other woman to go along but she refused.

He went on further to say, there is nothing that could be done about someone in the park during the day, so long as they aren't bothering anyone else. But I did advise him they actually sleep there over night, which surprised him. The police have been advised of their presence before. But I have to imagine someone saw them sleeping a long time today and grew concerned.

While I find it odd that someone would be brought in for a "check up" I am sort of relieved and hope this is the first step towards getting this woman some help.

I just happened to look outside my window at HP, and there were some police cars and an ambulance and four or five officers standing around on the corner of 9th and West Hamilton. Nothing new to see police around, but the ambulance was cause for concern. My first thought was that something happened to one of those two women who hang out there all the time.

It's none of my business and I've turned into a total busybody, but I can't help but be curious about what happened.
