Say woman shot father
Tuesday, September 09, 2008 By MICHAELANGELO CONTE JOURNAL STAFF WRITER Jersey City police are hunting for a city woman who allegedly shot her father in the back in their Greenville home yesterday afternoon, officials said. Police responding to the residence on Fulton and Ocean avenues were told by the 66-year-old man that he was walking down the basement stairs when his daughter shot him and that he didn't know why she did it, Police Lt. Edgar Martinez said. Neighbors said the man's name is Thomas Archie. Police have issued a warrant for the arrest of the daughter, Doressa Archie, 46, on the charge of aggravated assault, Martinez said, adding that she was last seen running west on Fulton. The victim was in stable condition last night at the Jersey City Medical Center, a hospital official said last night.
