by Charles Hack Sunday August 03, 2008, 7:18 PM
Police arrested two teens they said robbed a 21-year-old man at gunpoint on Ocean Avenue Saturday morning.
Michael Reaves, 18, of Kearney Avenue and a 16-year-old of Bidwell Avenue, both of Jersey City, were charged with robbery, weapons possession and resisting arrest, police said.
Cops from the Violent Crimes Task Force responded to a report of an armed robbery on Ocean Avenue near Forrest Street at 12:39 a.m. Saturday, reports said.
The victim said he was walking along Ocean Avenue when the 16-year-old pulled a gun on him, reports said.
Reaves and the 16-year-old went through his pockets and took an iPod, cash, a watch and a chain, reports said.
The pair then fled on a BMX bike, reports said.
Riding around the area with cops, the victim recognized the teens at Rose and Orient avenues where police nabbed them, reports said.
A search of the area turned up a Rohm .22 caliber revolver and six rounds of live ammunition, reports said.
