Can anyone recommend a decent, reasonably priced seamstress? I need to have someone alter some flower girl dresses. I prefer a seamstress who works on dresses over a tailor. Thanks.

not in jc, but i highly recommend ally's bridal in hoboken on 1st street. www.allybridal.com
very skilled, and affordable.

Alterations to Go on Washington St. in JC is good. They have altered a couple of dresses for me, including my wedding dress.

There is a good one in Hoboken across from the Police Station (i think that's Hudson st??). I believe it's called Maria's. It's an old-school place, hard to know how she keeps it organized, but she does good work. I had a friend who took her wedding gown there, and I took a bridesmaid's dress there, with no complaints. Good prices.
