An Exxon gas attendant was threatened with a knife by a man who was begging for change at the gas pumps Friday morning, police reports said.
The gas attendant asked the man who was panhandling at the Exxon service station at 14th Street and Manila Avenue at about 4:25 a.m. to stop bothering customers, reports said.
The victim went to assist a customer when he accidentally bumped into the man, reports said.
The man then pulled a knife and said, "'Bump me again and see what will happen,'" the victim said.
The attendant told him "Get outta here" and the panhandler - whom police are searching for - left, reports said.
