In about a week Special Ed summer school will be starting at McNair Academy. Some of these "kids" can be real trouble and last summer there were several break-ins involving these students. If you live in the area around Hamilton Park please be diligent. Don't leave doors or windows unlocked and double check access doors to your buildings common areas. Last summer 6 bikes were stolen from one building and others had computers and other electronics stolen. The JCPD eventually posted an officer at the school last summer but we can't always count on that.

3 teens charged with attack

Three Jersey City teens were arrested yesterday morning when cops saw them beating an 18-year-old man in the Heights, reports said.

The three teenagers - two are 15, the other is 14 - were seen chasing the victim to Prospect Street and to Lienau Place, a small street just east of Central Avenue, at 12:49 a.m., police said.

The victim broke away from the group, police said, and the rest of the group fled when they saw the police car.

The victim told police, "They just jumped me," and told police they tried to rob him, according to reports.

Police followed them onto Central and pulled alongside one while the other two ducked into the doorway of 144 Central Ave., reports said, where police caught up with them.

The victim was brought to the scene and identified all three juveniles, reports said.
