3 teens charged with attack
Wednesday, June 25, 2008 Three Jersey City teens were arrested yesterday morning when cops saw them beating an 18-year-old man in the Heights, reports said. The three teenagers - two are 15, the other is 14 - were seen chasing the victim to Prospect Street and to Lienau Place, a small street just east of Central Avenue, at 12:49 a.m., police said. The victim broke away from the group, police said, and the rest of the group fled when they saw the police car. The victim told police, "They just jumped me," and told police they tried to rob him, according to reports. Police followed them onto Central and pulled alongside one while the other two ducked into the doorway of 144 Central Ave., reports said, where police caught up with them. The victim was brought to the scene and identified all three juveniles, reports said. MEGAN DeMARCO
