Theatre Mania is a good source
http://discounts.theatermania.com/discounts/index.cfm/city/1 not as cheap as TDF, but a bigger selection.

Depending on you age you can join HIPTIX at Roundabout and $20 seats to all of their shows.

Try the Theater Development Fund http://www.tdf.org/
for a listing of the shows on and off B'way, they usually have discounted tickets for the shows they list.

I get weekly Top 20 deals from Travel Zoo, and there's always a section for cheap NYC show tickets.

My husband and I used to go to the theater before we had kids. Now we don't go because we don't have the money. We really love going to shows, so we're going to try and get at once a month.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to where we might go that's not so expensive. Mostly any type of performance is good; plays, musicals, musical performance, dance.......just not anything too weird and artsy please. Thanks all. I'm seriously craving sitting and watching something on stage.
