BB gun fired at Ferris; nab 2
Friday, October 12, 2007 By KEENAN STEINER JOURNAL STAFF WRITER Two Ferris High School students were arrested and charged with firing a loaded BB gun at school Wednesday, police said. They were taken to the Juvenile Bureau and slapped with weapons charges, including possession of weapons in an educational institution. Cops were told that one of the teens carried the BB gun into a classroom in a backpack. When the other looked at it in the backpack, he pulled the trigger. No injuries were reported. Police said they recovered one BB gun - specifically a carbon-dioxide powered air gun - loaded with 97 BB pellets, as well as two carbon dioxide canisters. One of the accused teens said he bought the weapon from another student, off the school's grounds.
