He was always responsive to me as a councilman and has continued to be responsive as Mayor.

My wife works in IT and wanted to talk to someone in the city about an Open Data Initiative. We were up early Sunday because, well, our kids like to torture us. So since we were up I shot him an e-mail asking about it. Within a couple of minutes he responded, and put us in touch with his aide who is overseeing the Dashboard project to set up a meeting later this week.

Judging from his track record, I agree.

You probably have a not unreasonable chance of the Mayor answering the email himself. Despite what many think (& say) the Mayor is interested in knowing what goes on & what you think.

You would have a better chance of getting a direct email response from your local Councillor then the Mayor!

Wouldn't it be common sense and time effective for any Mayor to delegate general email responses ? I'm sure most Mayor's aren't sitting on their hands and waiting for a " You've Got Mail' chime on their public email account !
