I tried them all and prefer A&P delivery. They bring bags and you can use coupons, etc. On time, they call if they can't find something/want to substitute and you can order same day. Order in the AM, have it delivered in the PM.

OK, so they were 15 min late, but they called and emailed to keep me posted to what was going on. They were stuck in traffic.
Once they got here everything was in shopping bags, which I prefer. Out of everything I ordered only the black berries were out of stock.

Not too bad.. (Much better than F.D when it comes to communication.)

I know people who use it. Really because they can?t get out to shop so it is perfect for them. They love it.

FYI..they are building a huge PeaPod warehouse /distribution center on the old PJP landfill on 1&9 across from the cemetery down Marion. All of that land should have been a park but Healy got a large part of it sold to a California firm to build a 100 bay trucking firm. Luckliy that plan fell through. It would have been traffic armageddon at rush hour . Just shows Healy doesn?t have a clue about JC peoples commute times.

Anyway it was announced that the warehouse will still be built but ? of it will be the Peapod and 1/2 of it will be a bag & paper manufacturer. Hopefully there won?t be as much traffic in and out as a large trucking firm.

If that's the case then the delivery and surcharge is great! Thanks!

It's actually coming from a warehouse - I think in South Jersey somewhere. The items are much fresher than what I used to experience when I shopped at the SS in Bayonne.

Good luck!

Thanks for the feedback, much appreciated. I just placed an order for delivery tomorrow. I don't eat can food so I guess I should be OK. I need them more for Almond milk, dry beans, and cereal. I just don't have the time anymore to go to TJ with the new 2nd job. The delivery and surcharge was a bit surprising since its coming from Bayonne but not too bad. Thanks again.

I recently started using Stop N Shop (PeaPod) delivery after ShopRite delivery became unbearably horrible. I was impressed.

They are very punctual (and call you when they're not); they don't forget items like ShopRite does; and their produce and fish are excellent. The prices seem to be just a bit higher than ShopRite but their selection is better than Fresh Direct. Your frozen items are delivered frozen! They pack your delivery in plastic bags, but they are organized in crates which makes for a smoother delivery. Their online interface is great and you can adjust orders to add or remove items after you have placed your order.

They have a coupon code floating around offering $15 off and free delivery for new customers. Go to Peapod.com. They also seem to have a quicker window for delivery than FreshDirect (which I think is a bit overrated - except they're offering $50 off for your first two deliveries which is a nice savings).

Trader Joes is great also, but I don't always have time to schlep.

I used them once a couple of years ago. Cans were dented, some of the produce was past it's expiry....first and last time I used them.

I noticed that Stop n shop offers home delivery here in GV and online shopping. Has anyone use them? Do they deliver using shopping bags or boxes? I would prefer the bags for the dogs... I have seen their trucks around here making deliveries. Wanted to know if they are worth it or should I stick with F.D. or track over to T.J.

Any info would be great. Thanks!
