View Larger Map Cops seek shooter of 3 men in Greenville Saturday night Monday, May 23, 2011 By MICHAELANGELO CONTE JOURNAL STAFF WRITER Jersey City police are trying to identify the gunman who shot three men in Greenville late Saturday night, officials said yesterday. At 11 p.m., officers on patrol at Stevens Avenue and Martin Luther King Drive came across a 20-year-old Ocean Avenue man with a gunshot wound to his abdomen, reports said. He said he heard about four shots and felt like he had been punched in the side, reports said. The man was rushed to the Jersey City Medical Center and while the officers were at the scene, neighbors told them two more victims were at a home nearby, reports said. When police responded to the location they found a 23-year-old Brinkerhoff Street man with a gunshot wound to his shoulder, and a 19-year-old Ocean Avenue man who was shot in the leg, reports said, adding that both were rushed to the Medical Center. None of the wounds suffered by the men appeared to be life-threatening, Police Lt. Edgar Martinez said. Anyone with information on the shootings is asked to call the Jersey City Police Department tip line at (201) 547-JAIL.
