This place is a complete dump!
If anyone has ever been near by after 11 pm, you'll know exactly what I'm trying to convey.

Its a shame that it takes a loss of life for this dive to get some attention and hopefully bring it to a close once and for all...

View Larger Map Jersey City shooting victim at Ringside Lounge identified as 23-year-old Irvington man By Michaelangelo Conte/The Jersey Journal December 31, 2009, 2:51PM The 34-year-old Jersey City man shot in the arm at the Ringside Lounge last night is expected to survive, officials said. The man killed by a bullet to his forehead while playing cards inside Jersey City's Ringside Lounge last night has been identified as a former Greenville resident who know lives in Irvington, officials said. Adrian Gerena, 23, formerly of Union Street off Mallory Avenue, was shot several times including once in the head at about 11:20 p.m. in the back bar room of the lounge located at Tonnelle and Manhattan avenues, Hudson County Prosecutor Edward DeFazio told The Jersey Journal. Gerena was pronounced dead at 11:44 p.m. at Jersey City Medical Center, DeFazio said. The shooting appears to have been a planned attack and may possibly be gang-related, DeFazio said. A 34-year-old Jersey City man who was also in the card game was wounded in the arm and he was rushed to the Jersey City Medical Center for treatment of what does not appear to be a life-threatening wound, DeFazio said. The gunman and a second man entered the bar and walked to the back bar room where they argued briefly with the two victims, apparently due to a prior dispute, DeFazio said. The shooter then took out the handgun and fire about six rounds, striking both men, DeFazio said. The pair then left the bar and fled in a vehicle. Homicide detectives are following leads and the murder investigation is very active, DeFazio said. Security video from the Ringside has been reviewed by investigators and it could prove helpful. DeFazio would not say if the wounded man was providing information to detectives. DeFazio, the county's highest ranking law enforcement official, said the bar has been the scene of too much violence. "It's time for the Jersey City Alcoholic Beverage Control Board to take appropriate measures -- it's overdue," DeFazio said. "Based on the number of calls for (police) service due to violence at that location, the Ringside Lounge could be considered a nuisance." On Dec. 16, 2004 rap promoter Robert "Tito" Montanez, 31, of Jersey City, was shot twice in the chest in the parking lot of the Ringside. The shooting occurred at 2:15 a.m. in a dispute that police said began over an item of jewelry. Another incident involving gunfire occurred on Sept. 9, 2006 in the Ringside parking lot at about 2:20 a.m. When police arrived they dispersed a large crowd and recovered a number of 9mm shell casings from the area, reports said. The owner of the Ringside Lounge was not immediately available for comment this afternoon. Anyone with information on the murder is asked to call the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office's Homicide Squad at (201) 915-1345. ============================ Man Shot Dead in Popular Jersey City Bar BY STEPHANIE BARISH wpix.com 3:52 PM EST, December 31, 2009 JERSEY CITY, N.J. - A shootout inside a popular Jersey City bar has left one man dead and another injured, police said.
