Went to this last night -- bought tickets on a whim last week. It was fan-freakin-tastic. Young chefs doing their thing. Highly recommended. Will make it a point to go back for the next one.

Really wish she had gone on to explain what is to be said about bringing the community together at table. Personally, I'd prefer bringing the community together once a month for charettes to address neighborhood issues.

While Jersey City's dining scene is enjoying a Renaissance, four local chefs say one aspect of the gastronomic experience needs resuscitation.

Alysis Vasquez, a chef trained at the French Culinary Institute who's formerly worked for big names like Tom Colicchio, says while JC's offering great eats, it can be hard to find a communal eating experience.
