I believe so. I'll make sure to get his name and a better description this Friday.

He is usually outside Duane Reade on Friday evenings.

There's the Indian food truck that makes them for $5 a pop. He's around in newport a lot but at grove street on Friday nights. I can vouch for his chicken 65 kaathi rolls! Amazing.

There's a place on Newark ave in little India called Bombay Talkies that does good rolls as well. Check them out.

Kathi roll company in the city (midtown or village area) is ok. There's a few in on macdoogal right now that are far better. But then again, you need to try them and see if they are compatible with what flavours you like.

@craigslistdiva, thanks so much for the suggestions.
Folks travel from great distances to get to our own Little India. We are so fortunate to have so many restaurants there to choose from. Really appreciate your specific recommendations.

Kati Rolls, Kathi Rolls...not sure of the correct spelling....but who's got the best in this town? Used to get 'Em from Kultural Kuisine on JFK Boulevard, now closed. Bummer because they were enormous, delicious and inexpensive.

Unaware of anything in DTJC. I usually stick with Kati roll co on mcdougal downtown and on 39th in midtown.
