Azucar was one of the only decent places to eat in the soulless, culinary wasteland that is Newport. Hope you can still smoke cigars in the new location!

Aw, shucks. Total bummer. This was a great place to grab a happy hour beer and hang out outside with friends. Their food was decent, too. I wasn't too crazy about the latest crew of bartenders, but the previous ones were all nice and friendly. I do hope they reopen soon (and, closer!)

I haven't been there in a while but I remember the food was good and the ambience was nice.

I always assumed that was just a place for tourists looking for an upgrade from Chili's.

I hope they stay in the area, I liked that place. There are still some openings on Newark Ave that need to be filled in.

It looks like Azucar shut down recently. The "space available" signs are up on the windows. Anyone know what happened?
