review by Armando

These folks are great at making homemade pizza and other stuff! They are always friendly and also have a DVD movie rental biz right there in the pizza place! You can sit and wait for your order at two indoor tables in a nice quiet area in downtown Jersey City. Highly recommended.

I believe they are closed on Mondays.

Call after 4pm and find out for sure about their hours. They used to rent VHS years ago and I've been a customer for over ten years. Best pizza in town for the price. Small business owners are struggling now as well and I give props to them both.

LOOK FOR THE BIG RED CANOPY THAT SAYS, "Michael's Pizzeria - THE VIDEO BOX".

Michael's Pizzeria

74 Erie Street Jersey City, NJ 07302

Pizza review blog??? That's wonderful. I live near hamilton park and have had Michael's, Franks and Christos. Are there any others in this area I'm missing that I should try?

i have yet to upload my review of them on my pizza blog but i live down the block and grab a slice here or there...pretty big slice, a little thicker crust, and the woman who works there is fun to talk to. i have yet to try the eggplant parm but it'll happen eventually.

Good neighborhood place. Eggplant parm sandwich is a once a week meal for me and the best in JC and for 6.50 its a steal. I've been told the chicken parm is excellent too. They have a limited menu so make your salad at home. Strombolis are 6 bucks and a meal in themselves. I prefer their pizza to most places in town including Buon Appetito and Helen's (yuck).

Love this place. The sandwiches and pizza are great. Everything there is homemade.

They don't deliver but you can call your order in ahead. My wife likes to sit there though because Brenda is such a personality and fun to talk to.

They are closed on Mondays and have weird hours otherwise. 4pm-10pm I think. I wish she was open for Lunch.

Its better than Vinnie's Village Pizza but not as good as Helen's. Its also inexpensive.

I walked by this place last night, and it's the first time I've actually seen it open. It looked like a pizza was being served. Do these guys keep regular hours?? Is the pizza any good??
