been in there MANY times....liked pretty much everything i've had there. i used to walk in and ask the lady what i wanted and she'd give me suggestions.

I think this place is the reason Charritos went out of business. 5 De Mayo is way more authentic and the food is great. Too bad, I liked eating in Charritos though.

This place is fun -- real Mexican! Cinco De Mayo but spelled "5 De Mayo" (201)795-1527
There must be a thread -- but I couldn't find it! Try the Tamales (rajas = peppers) you can even get them mild - they come with chicken - one is almost a whole meal! They deliver downtown -- but tip them well! It makes it hard to choose between them and Rumba's (Cuban) - also on Central....
