I saw a video of a man from NYC who owns a 2-family brownstone, he has not been paid since August 2019 and is due $65,000 in rent. In the meanwhile, his tenant has sublet the apartment and is collecting rent while he must supply heat and hot water.
So, how do anyone knows if someone is working from home and decides not to pay in NJ? If you don't pay the first three quarters in JC, you go into tax lien by November of this year and that also includes your water payment. Who is checking that the renter is not pulling a scam just like what is happening to this guy in NYC?

Yesterday, Governor Phil Murphy signed into law new eviction protections for tenants who were directly impacted by the pandemic.
