Jersey City remains 'attractive market' for corporations, report saysBy Jersey City remains an appealing place for corporations to send their back offices, but is facing stiff competition from other parts of the state and nation, and even from Canada, a new report says. The report, from the Boyd Company, a location consultant based out of Princeton, says a 125-worker corporation needing 30,000 square feet of office space would pay $11.3 million to operate in Jersey City, compared to $12 million in New York City and $12.5 million in San Francisco, the most expensive city of 45 the firm surveyed.
