Princeton Information Ltd. moves from NYC to Jersey City

WEDNESDAY, 02 JUNE 2010 15:47

Princeton Information Ltd. expects to create 30 new jobs as it establishes its new corporate headquarters at Jersey City?s Harborside Terminal, the state Economic Development Authority announced Wednesday.
The company, one of the nation's largest privately-held IT consulting firms, has been continuously operated by the same founder and chairman since its inception in 1985 and primarily serves Fortune 500 pharmaceutical, telecommunications, finance, and insurance companies.

Princeton Information began moving employees from New York City to Jersey City in January and completed the move in May.

The company is described as offering a wide range of IT expertise, including application development, maintenance, outsourcing and decommissioning, software quality assurance and testing, database administration, business analysis, network engineering and performance tuning, and network support for moves and changes. The company also offers help desk services, desktop and application rollout, and enterprise support services.

Princeton Information operates across the United States with 12 regional offices. The company recently executed a $656,166 Business Employment Incentive Program grant with the Economic Development Authority to support its relocation to New Jersey. The grant program is available to businesses expanding or relocating their workforce in New Jersey. Grants may be awarded for up to 10 years and can range between 10 percent and 80 percent of the total amount of state income taxes withheld by the company during the calendar year from the salaries of the new employees hired.

The Princeton Information announcement follows last week's announcement that Intrasphere Technologies Inc., a life sciences consulting firm, is planning to relocate its headquarters to Jersey City following its New York City lease expiration this month. In addition to relocating 120 existing jobs to Jersey City, the company plans to create 180 new jobs within two years.
