Nope. It's all gone, ditched during their computerization, according to them. I asked in person last year about one from 2002 and while they have a record of there being a permit, it's # & type, and whether it was ever closed, they say there are no other existent details.

Go ask yourself, maybe they lied to me. I wouldn't be too shocked.

Got copies of permits from the city in the mail within 7 - 10 business days by doing the following:

Letter to Housing, Economic Development and Commerce Department stating the specific time frame and permit needed and adddress of property.

Faxed it to 201.547.5270

Followed up with Ray Meyer if faxed was received and turn around time.

If you want to call ask for Ray Meyer by calling 201.547.5055

Good luck with that. Go in person to 30 Montgomery and they'll probably make you sit 4 hours waiting for it.

Anybody know the fastest way to request a copy of a permit from 2001 from the City of Jersey City? I left mutiple messages...anybody have a Dept. of Buiding email contact?
