Thanks for this reminder! I went to Key Food today and bought a ton of canned and packaged items. I then brought my daughter with me to drop it off at St. Lucy's. They were very kind and appreciative and we put it directly into the kitchen where 2 lovely volunteers happily took it. I'm sure it'll be put to good use.

Off topic, but does St. Lucy's accept/need clothing?

If you have extra food from Thanksgiving or sitting around your pantry unused, please consider the good folks at St. Lucy's shelter on Grove Street by the Holland Tunnel.
My neighbor earned an extra turkey from the supermarket and didn't know what to do with it. I dropped it off at St. Lucy's today along with a few extra items from my pantry that were taking up room. All the items were received with enthusiasm. You can drop off at anytime; 619 Grove St, Jersey City, NJ 07310 Phone: (201) 656-7201
