Thanks all, It is a good option, but sounds like it wouldn't necessarily be wise to use this while out of town since buying a new tix at midnight is recommended to "play it safe". I still like the option for other scenarios though.

Now, having said that, keep in mind that parking on weekends is free of charge. And, based on personal experience, no one comes out during the evening to check for expired spots.
