ART HOUSE PRODUCTIONS RECEIVES GRANT
FROM THE HORIZON FOUNDATION FOR NEW JERSEY

December 15, 2011, Jersey City, NJ: Art House Productions is proud to announce that it has received a grant from The Horizon Foundation for New Jersey.

On December 8, Robert A. Marino, Chairman of the Board of The Horizon Foundation for New Jersey (Foundation) announced the Foundation?s fourth and final round of grants for 2011, awarding $1,274,000 to 34 organizations. The Horizon Foundation for New Jersey supports charitable organizations that promote health and the arts throughout New Jersey. With this final round, the Foundation has awarded $3,207,500 in grants to 105 organizations in 2011.

Art House Productions received a grant of $10,000 to support its Arts Exhibits and Programs. The grant funds the cost of salaries for professional and administrative staff, marketing and promotion and the participation of students who exhibit artistic merit and financial need for the STAGES! program, a 12-week theatre academy and performance company for youths.

Christine Goodman, Executive Director of Art House Productions says, "we are honored to be recognized by The Horizon Foundation for New Jersey and are looking forward to building our Horizon Rising Stars scholarship program as part of the exciting new STAGES! performance company for youth launched last September."

STAGES! provides a unique opportunity for students in grades 4-12 to learn about all aspects of Musical Theater twice a week, after school. Students train with real world professionals, build confidence and acting skills, and perform in a full scale, mainstage musical. The next session of STAGES! will launch on Tuesday, February 7, 2012.

Three Hudson County groups get a total of $80,000 in grants form the Horizon Foundation of New Jersey

Three organizations in Jersey City received a total of $80,000 in grants from the Horizon Foundation of New Jersey for their work in Hudson County, the foundation announced on Friday.

Art House Productions, located at One McWilliams Place, received a grant of $10,000 to support the company?s arts exhibitions and programs, the release said.

Liberty Science Center received a grant of $20,000 to support its ?Live From Series-Cardiac Classroom?

The classroom series provides students with interactive video conferencing from a hospital surgical suite and enables students to observe a live coronary artery by-pass graft surgery.

The New Jersey Health Literacy Coalition received a $50,000 grant to support its ?Ensuring Health Literacy for All Program.?

The Horizon Foundation for New Jersey supports charitable organizations that promote health and the arts throughout the state. The organization awarded $3,207,500 in grants to 105 organizations statewide in 2011.
