Our last collection day is this Sunday - we have four boxes of books donated already (thank you to all!) and really could use more! Any new or gently used children's books would be great - PreK to grade 6.

My daughter is working on a special community project in cooperation with the Sigma Kappa Delta English Honor Society at Hudson County Community College to help local elementary school students get the books they urgently need to become stronger and more engaged readers.

Beginning Thursday, April 27th through Sunday, May 7th, The Soccer Learning Center (at CERC, 180 9th Street in JC) will be the collection center for your generous donation of any new or gently used children's books (PreK to grade 6 titles only, please).

Please see the collection schedule below. Books will be distributed later in May to the terrific students at P.S. #22 in Jersey City.

Children's books can be dropped off at the CERC building located at 180 9th Street in Jersey City at these days and times. Please ONLY donate books suitable for readers in PreK through grade 6. Board books, picture books, and chapter books welcomed!

Thursday 4/27: 4pm to 11pm
Saturday 4/29: 10am to 1pm
Sunday 4/30: 10am to 1pm
Monday 5/1: 6pm to 9pm
Tuesday 5/2: 4pm to 6pm
Thursday 5/4: 4pm to 11pm
Saturday 5/6: 10am to 1pm

The Sigma Kappa Delta Honor Society of Hudson County Community College helps promote literacy throughout the community as well as an appreciation for literature and creative writing.

This book drive is one of the many important projects they have launched this year.
