That is correct, I used to live in a duplex apt on Sussex between Washington and Warren. It was ground level and sub ground. We never experienced any flooding.

I live on Wayne and Monmouth, and during the hurricanes, there was no flooding on Monmouth and Columbus. There was flooding under the Extension onto 78.

Flooding Columbus & Monmouth?

I'm looking at an apartment on Monmouth near Columbus. Can anyone confirm that Sandy & Irene (or any other flood events) didn't affect that area (lower level unit...)? The maps of flood prone areas that I have found online through JC List seem to indicate that it's good, but a first-hand confirmation would be even better.
