Many of our good-hearted, hard working volunteer coaches or outdoor rec program operators may not know how to make sure our young Jersey City athletes keep safe playing in these high temperatures.

You must understand heat safety in young athletes goes far beyond just making sure children are properly hydrated.

Please take a moment to read the United States Soccer Federation (USSF) Youth Soccer Heat and Hydration Guidelines below. As a coach or parent of a child involved in any kind of sport, you will find the information really valuable in protecting young athletes from one of the most preventable sports-related injuries.
