PM me. Tell me your name and address. I'll arrange for a one-time credit at a local supermarket to cover a week of staples.

a) PM me and I'll get you some food. (But I think you should avoid canned soup, even if you're broke, because it's full of salt.)

b) Are there some small food shops where you're a regular? If so, maybe one of them would let you buy a little stuff on credit.

c) Maybe I'm being naive, but one strategy might be to try going to a religious service in your religion (or just try a service at Grace Church Van Vorst, at 2nd and Erie, if you have no religion), and ask if there's any way they can, say, help you out with buying a bag of rice and a bag of beans. I think it's completely valid to do this even if you're a committed atheist. There are plenty of practical uses of organized religion that have nothing to do with anything supernatural, and one of them is helping people deal with financial problems. And it could be that a church that has a food bank/soup kitchen that operates only during business hours would find a way to set a little food aside so that you could pick it up at another time.

Don't worry about it. The article was about real estate. Some people here can be insensitive.

The webmaster deleted your post.

I have seen the articles on you. Some people here made jokes about one of the article.

I also gave you some things at Freecycle though we never met. I am glad you got a job.

JCList,
This is all on the up and up, not a bad internet joke (which I was a bit suspect of.) Every little bit helps and we (myself and two others will get him some food to hold him over for the week and help with a metro card for the week so he can start the new job.

T07302,
I'm touched that you turned to your community for help and ANY of us could be in the same predicament at any time in our lives....god bless and hopefully 2008 is the start of health and happiness for you!
I will also speak with the Mayors office to see what they can come up with. Give me a call today!

of course the problem is that I am working full time (wont get my first check until Jan 31) so NO MONEY for january but food banks are open limited hours and i cant leave work to go to them.

any way if anyone has any extra can goods (soup canned meats) that you dont want let me know.

I also pm'ed you at 1AM 1/4/07 so please reply and I too will try to help.

I did a search at this site and there are no other posts for "food bank(s)" here other than your own on 1/3/07. Did you use another user name perhaps than your current one?
In any event, in case this is a real need for help, you have my info to call/email me on Friday and I will see what I can do to help you out.

T. I'm really not sure what to do with your post. I'm being cautious this is some sort of bad joke, but I don't want to take a chance by ignoring it in case this is for real. Send me a pm with a contact # and if this is all on the up and up... we will help you out.
