try cleaning the battery contacts and then try with a fresh battery. If not just buy a new movement - they are easy to fit into clocks.

Does anyone know someone (local or further afield) who could fix a battery operated Seth Thomas mantle clock? I tried Jemma Loan thinking their watch guy might have a recommendation but no dice.
