We used Dylan Clark of Dylan Hardwood Floors and were very happy with the results and the service (doesn't hurt that he lives downtown).

Not really yet. Seems like folks want to do full installs, still having a hard time finding someone to do repairs. Can you share?

Try Conquer Flooring on Bright St. They install all types of flooring, with focus on hardwood restoration in old homes. Since they do restoration, they should do smaller jobs like this or be able to refer someone who does.

Just can't stay away

Hi,
I need to get a chunk of an old wood floor replaced (but not the whole floor). 5-10 "planks". Does anyone have a recommended contractor to do this? Because it's an old house, it looks like it doesn't have a subfloor at all so this wood is all I've got. I don't want to sand it. Seems like there are a lot of refinishers out there and installers, but I'm having a hard time finding a repairman... Thanks in advance, Grif.
