Jersey City Reservoir opens with fishing program for kids
by The Jersey Journal Saturday May 09, 2009  Nine-year-old Lukas Nieman of the Jersey City Heights looks at his first catch of the day, a blue gill fish, as the Jersey City Reservoir opened for the season. The Jersey City Reservoir -- a natural oasis just waiting to be discovered in the Jersey City Heights -- opened for the season today with a fishing program for kids. The non-profit Reservoir Preservation Alliance sponsors numerous programs for nature lovers in the heart of the urban jungle. Watch the alliance's Web site for future programs.
