The only other place in JC I can think of is The Corkscrew on Congress St in The Heights.

Good Luck!

O'Hara's on 1st & Marin also does some weekend band shows. The weeknight bookings usually gear more toward singer/songwriter cover acts, but they will book a full night of original bands if you can put together a show and convince them you can draw some people.

The "stage" is small and the PA is brought in just for the sets, but it's something:

Hey Kyle, the only other places that come to mind are Lucky 7's and the Iron Monkey that have band nights. I'll be honest, there isn't really any good music spots in downtown. There are places that have bands, but they're all small places that just kinda set up a PA and have people play in the corner. If you can get a show there, I think Maxwells in Hoboken is hands down the best place around.

I recently started a band, and all members but one are JC residents. We've been playing at quite a few places in the city, but I would love to do some local shows. I've reached out to Lamp Post via MySpace. What are some other places (preferably downtown) where we could perform. If you're interested in the music, you can check it out at www.leafpilemusic.com

Thanks!
