There's a group bike ride Saturday at 2 p.m. through the park, the Cherry Blossom Ride, run by the Brick City Bike Collective cycling and advocacy group. It was dormant for a while, but now it's back!
Hopefully another week will give the blossoms time to bloom. Cherry Blossom Ride event page on Facebook

It really is a great place to go! A group of us once had a traditional Japanese "hanami" when the trees came into bloom. You can order bento boxes for the occasion from the market in Edgewater. Get some poetry about spring to read, or try to make some haikus of your own.

I heard from someone who went yesterday and said there were almost no blossoms, so todays visit will be rescheduled.
