Looking at the picture tells you what is wrong- the planting of trees that destroy sidewalks. I have for years complained about this. JC should place trees in planters. I spoke to a surgeon who told me, an untold number of old people are placed in nursing homes each year from falls from broken sidewalks, the majority being sidewalks being pushed up by trees. Another problem that I have experience is the roots of trees growing into the water and sewerage system. It causes backups. Once I had my tree removed, that problem went away.

It was the winter of 2017 and I had had enough, enough of the puddle of water straddling a piece of sidewalk just down the street from my home, enough of homeowners who didn’t give a sh** about their neighbors.
