The federal Department of Housing and Urban Development is giving Jersey City Housing Authority $105,310 to provide job-training for low-income residents.
Jersey City was the only Hudson County municipality to receive a portion of the $1.6 million state grant from Housing Choice Voucher Family Self-Sufficiency Program, which allows public housing agencies to work with welfare agencies, schools, businesses and other groups to provide training to low-income residents.
