Jersey City officials are seeking public input on how to spend federal Housing and Urban Development money.
Mayor Jerramiah T. Healy, the City Council, and the city's Department of Housing, Economic Development and Commerce's Division of Community Development are holding a hearing from 6 to 8 tonight at the Jersey City Museum, at 350 Montgomery St.
Residents are asked to provide ideas on how the city should spend grant funds from the Community Development Block Grant Program, Emergency Shelter Grant Program, Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS, and the Home Investment Partnership Program.
The city will use the feedback for its 2010-2014 Consolidated Plan, which includes the city's strategy for carrying out the federal programs and serves as an application for the funds.
