Funny that they don't mention the name of the bar in the article. Technically it could be either the Powerhouse Lounge or O'Hara's, but I'm guessing the latter since the former doesn't self-describe as a bar.

Bartender knouted out; had halted fight

A bartender at a Jersey City bar was stuck in the head with a baseball bat and knocked out cold after trying to break up a fight between two of his friends yesterday, officials said.

Police officers responded to the Jersey City Medical Center after the 2:26 a.m. incident at the bar at First Street and Marin Boulevard and spoke to the 27-year-old victim, a police report says.

He told police that when his pals began to fight he got between them and pushed one of the two to the ground, the man who had been pushed down got a baseball bat from his car.

When the man with the bat went after the bartender, the other friend tried to break up the scuffle, but the bartender was struck behind his right ear, knocking him out, the report says.

Police said the victim and the friend who tried to protect him seemed reticent about filing charges against the man with the bat, the report says. Based on the report, it?s not clear if the scuffle was inside or outside the bar and it?s not clear if charges were filed.
