Jersey City police say investigation shows at least 4 shots fired near Webb Park

Gunfire erupted near Ercel Webb Park in the Lafayette section of Jersey City Wednesday night, and a witness told police he saw two men jump into a car and drive away, officials said.

Officers responding to Lafayette and Van Horne streets found four spent shells in the area, reports said.

The witness said he saw two men, one wearing a red jacket, get into a black Honda and leave the area heading south on Woodward Street, reports said.
