View Larger Map Man, woman shot by unknown assailant Monday, November 28, 2011, 3:00 AM By Charles Hack/The Jersey Journal An 18-year-old man and 32-year-old woman suffered gunshot wounds early yesterday as gunfire erupted at Vroom Street and Bergen Avenue, according to Jersey City police reports. Both victims were treated at the Jersey City Medical Center for non-life threatening wounds and neither victim saw who fired the shots, reports said. The woman told police she was walking home with her 39-year-old boyfriend shortly after midnight when she was shot in her right leg, reports said. The other victim, a Woodlawn Avenue resident, told police he too was walking in the area when a bullet hit his right hand, reports said. Three shell casings were found at the intersection.
