View Larger Map Robber slashes teen boy's face Wednesday, November 16, 2011, 3:00 AM By Michaelangelo Conte/The Jersey Journal A 17-year-old Jersey City boy was slashed in the face during a failed robbery attempt on Sunday evening, officials said. The Stevens Avenue boy told police he was at Summit Avenue and Astor Place at 5:30 p.m. when a man grabbed at his cellphone and swung some type of blade at him, reports said. The victim said he backed away but the blade slashed his mouth, reports said.
